“The Declaration of THE REPUBLIC OF JAMAICA” of the unique Jamaican document, WE THE PEOPLE Proposed CONSTITUTION OF REPUBLIC JAMAICA (WTPPCORJ) and, Article 1 thereof, abolishes the Jamaica (Constitution) Order in Council 1962 and all laws that are inconsistent with it, respectively. And, Article 7 upholds the right of citizens to practice any Religion, provided that such Religion “be not utilized for political purposes or be not prejudiced to public order or morality. (and that) No one shall utilize religious activities or organizations for
commercial purposes except as authorized by law.,”

This was a wonderful read. I am just in a state of constant awe as how there is a law against something that requires prosecution if you “pretend” to practice it

    Very interesting, informative and educational.
I particularly like the utilisation of an equation to explain the diverse aspects of our culture.

A well written article, and quite informative. I particularly liked how it highlighted the factor that the wording of the Obeah law doesn’t exclude children from being charged with practicing Obeah.
